This project has been completed.

The Council has provided some environmental improvements to Tudor Lane to support the local businesses and help to promote it as a vibrant extension to the Tudor Street Shopping Area.
The improvements include:
- A new mural on the side and rear walls of the former Cardiff Bus Transport Club
- Artwork on the rear wall of Litchfield Court
- Lighting column banners
- Signage at the three entrances to the lane (add photo of new square sign at entrances to lane
- One way system from eastern section of the lane from Tudor Street (entrance nearest to Wood Street bridge) to the exit onto Clare Road
- New business sign on the side elevation of Litchfield Court
Additional funding was secured from Welsh Government to deliver a building improvement grant scheme. The scheme was available for commercial premises in Tudor Lane and supported internal and external improvements to properties with the aim of bringing vacant or unsuitable commercial floor space back into beneficial use.

Eligible works included:
- Shopfronts
- Shutters
- Signage
- Lighting
- Rainwater goods (guttering and downpipes)
- New windows
- Rendering, brickwork repairs or repointing and stone cleaning and painting
- Plastering
- Internal decoration
- Partition walls
- Internal staircases to improve access to upper floors and roof terrace
- Lighting (and associated electrical works)
- Utilities and services, including heating
- Welfare facilities (eg essential washroom and cleansing facilities only)
As part of the Council’s monitoring process, we have put together an evaluation report to summarise the scope of the scheme and record the outputs and achievements. Further to this, we have carried out a feedback survey with the property owners and businesses in the lane and the results are as follows:
